Pinch

Wow, this is really odd, I'm all caught up on my homework. It's kind of relieving, but also means I have no idea what to do with myself. Part of me is wanting to pick-up a book and read leisurely and the other part of me is wanting to sleep. Hmmm...choices.

Anyways, life is fairly unexciting for me right now. Went to my Philosophy of Art class this afternoon and then in the evening went to my Clay Sculpture class. I suppose one exciting thing happened today; we started working with clay. So far we've just explored lines, shapes and forms in abstract ways. We also made pinch-pots. I think I made mine too thin, but I like the shape of it. I definitely want to mess around a little more with the pinch-pots. The idea of coils in pottery was also introduced to us. It should be fun to explore that more.

This is a beautiful example of a porcelain pinch-pot.
