As much as I would love to just read through all of Holmes stories, I've decided to not tire myself of them right away. I am instead reading "The Dancing Plague" by John Waller. This is a historical look into the Dancing Plague of 1518, in Strasbourg. I am extremely interested in this event and have read 10 pages into the book and am already enjoying it. I would read more but it's nearly 1am and I'm pooped. Hopefully it continues to capture my attention!

"Sherlock Holmes: A Study in Scarlet"
After seeing the latest Sherlock Holmes movie I decided to start reading the series of stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I had heard that they are very different from the movie, but very good. The first story in my collection is "A Study in Scarlet." I felt the writing style was very smooth and the story progression was great. I loved seeing, through the eyes of Watson, how Holmes unraveled the mystery. The dialogue is very witty and entertaining throughout and keeps the reader entertained and the characters likable. I especially liked the uses of phrases such as, "How the duece!?" and "What the duece?!" Anyways, if you're looking for a light read and something that is fun and keeps you wanting more, I definitely would recommend this story.
