I haven't really been feeling too inspired in the writing department since the beginning of this year. I'll blame it on the lack of anything exciting happening in my life. I am jobless and don't have classes for another 2 1/2 weeks (they start February 1st). While I'm enjoying the time off, I find myself being more lazy than anything. I have been applying to jobs, but once you apply it's really a waiting game and nothing more you can really do.
I've also been slowly reading F. Scott Fitzgerald's, "This Side of Paradise." So far I really like it. I go back and forth between moderately liking the main character (Amory) and despising him. After I finish that book I plan on starting a Sherlock Holmes book. With the Barnes and Noble gift cards I got for Christmas I decided to purchase the complete Sherlock Holmes collection. It's one of the leather-bound series and is very lovely looking on my bookshelf.
Before my break is up I have to reassemble my photography portfolio. I'm thinking of buying a new portfolio. My old one has sheets that are falling apart due to photos being moved around in it. I was planning on going to Dick Blick and taking advantage of my student discount, but as it turns out they moved to Edina. Looks like Michaels is getting my business now.
