I suppose I should say Happy Cinco de Mayo, but I'm not going to because a) I'm not Mexican and b) I'm not celebrating it.
Anyways, I have 13 days until the semester is over. Woot! I finished the rough draft of my huge research paper. I ended up going a page and a half over the requirement. I figure that it's the rough draft and if my professor wants it cut down then I'll do that for the final draft due next Wednesday. I actually think the requirement for the paper should have been 15-20 pages. I have no idea how anyone could have written only a 10 page paper for this assignment.
Today I'm going to the MN Center for Book Arts for my 2D class. I'm pretty excited to go. It should be interesting to see what other artists are doing in regards to book art. My final project is to bind and make my own book around my semester theme. Since my theme is literature and images that people connect to them I'm doing my final project on The Great Gatsby. This is probably one of my favorite books. I'm thinking of doing a scrapbook of sorts for Daisy about Jay Gatsby. I'm going to incorporate collage methods and photography. I'm hoping it turns out how I want it to.
